NOTICES

We may give notice to you at either the email or postal address you provide to us when making a purchase. (Notice will be deemed received and properly served 24 hours after an email is sent or three days after the date of posting of any letter.) In providing the service of any notice, it will be sufficient to prove, in the case of a letter, that the letter was properly addressed, stamped and placed in the post and, in the case of an email that the email was sent to the specified email address of the addressees.

3. LAW

These terms are governed by Scottish law. Any contract for the purchase of goods from this site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with any such contract will be governed by Scottish law. Both parties agree that the courts of Scotland will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident in England or Wales you may also bring proceedings in England or Wales.

4. RETURNS

We are sure you will be very happy with the products you purchase from Irvine Cycles Ltd. However please note below which Irvine cycles adhere to:

Returns Guidelines:

Goods can be returned within 14 days from the day they are received/signed for if unsuitable. Goods must be supported by proof of purchase and in original packaging where possible. Any faulty goods or items not "as described" can be returned up to 30 days from the date you purchase.

Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

Alternative Shipping Address

Shipping And Handling: Free Delivery for cycles is for most of the United Kingdom. However certain areas may be at an additional charge and these fall into 2 categories.

Category 1:

Some of the Highlands and Islands will be at an addittional charge.
If you live in the Highlands and Islands and wish to order a cycle please contact us for a quote or just go ahead and order and we will contact you and let you know the cost.

At this point you can choose to go ahead or cancel the order.

Category 2:

We use TNT to ship bikes to there destination. TNT sometimes applies additional charges to what it considers remote destinations, these remote destinations may in actual fact not be considered to be remote but just have no nearby transit depot for TNT.

Again please go ahead and order the cycle and on the very rare occassions that this happens we will contact you to advise you of any potential additional shipping fees.

At this point you can choose to go ahead or cancel the order.

For all other items Free Delivery Applies Throughout the UK.

Normally we will not deliver a cycle other than to the address of where the credit card is registered. If you require your cycle to be delivered to an alternative address please indicate this during checkout when you are asked for any special delivery instructions, we will then contact you to discuss delivery arrangements.

For security reasons we cannot leave items where there is nobody to recieve the goods.

Delivery Schedule: Currently we only post items to the United Kingdom. Free Delivery only includes the UK Mainland, for all other areas within the UK we will only charge what it costs us, please contact us beforehand for a Quote.

Normally we will not deliver a cycle other than to the address of where the credit card is registered. If you require your cycle to be delivered to an alternative address please indicate this during checkout when you are asked for any special delivery instructions, we will then contact you to discuss delivery arrangements.

Packaging: We are a professional cycle shop, we do not just shift boxes. To give our customers the best buying experience, every cycle sold will go through the following pre-delivery process before shipping:

1. Visual check of frame and components.

2. Cycle assembled in our store, gears (where relevant) and brakes adjusted, tyre pressure and all fasteners checked. All components checked/adjusted to ensure perfect performance.

3. Once we are satisfied that goods are in perfect order, the cycle is then carefully transferred back into it's original box. On some occasions larger boxes will be substituted to ensure a secure and safer journey to our customers.

4. An assembly guide and some basic tools will be supplied on all cycle purchases. Please note, some minimal assembly will be required on arrival. Generally all kids bikes 12"-20" wheel sizes will arrive 90% assembled. Securing of pedals, h/bars & stabilisers (where relevant) is typically all that is required. On youth bikes of 24" wheel size and all adult bikes typically  you will be required to secure the front wheel.

We aim to post cycles ordered Monday to Thursday within 48hrs.

We do our best to make sure that all Cycles on our site are in stock, on the odd occasion that we made a mistake and have not adjusted our stock we will check with our suppliers and if the cycle is available we will post within 3-5 days. In busy periods delivery can take up to 5-7 days.

On the odd occasion we may need to cancel a cycle as despite our best efforts we cannot supply it within a reasonable time frame.

Back Orders: We aim to have everything on our website in stock, however on the odd occasion that it is not, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Returns: We comply fully with the distance selling regulations.

You are responsible for returning the item within 14 calendar days of cancelling and refunds Will be paid within 14 calendar days after returning the goods.

If for any reason you wish to return goods then you will be required to arrange and return the goods at your own cost. Where the goods are faulty once returned your postage costs will be refunded.

If the return is for a cycle then please contact us beforehand as we will normally be able to arrange a courier collection cheaper than an individual.

The product  must be returned complete and in an unused  condition. The original box and packaging must also be present if originally supplied.

Credit Card Security:

Your Security: The order details and address that you enter will be encrypted by our secure server. On the next page you will be asked for payment method. We offer the following payment methods PayPal or Visa, MasterCard and Maestro processed by Sage Pay. Once you have entered your address details and selected a payment method you will then be forwarded to either SagePay or PayPal to process payment. At no point do we ever come into contact with your credit card this is processed entirely by SagePay which as one of the most trusted and secure payment Gateways We collect your name and address only to be able to process the order. 

What this basically means is that when it comes to entering your Credit Card details you have all the security systems that SagePay or PayPal use to protect the security of your credit card. We only ever see your name and address details to process the order, your credit card details are NEVER given to Irvine Cycles and are NEVER held on any of Irvine Cycles websites or internal systems.  We never see your credit card details.
